It got better...much better!

It snowed and sleeted on and off all day. About 2pm the snow came down thick and settled. It snowed like this for maybe 30 mins then the sun came out and it was gone. At about 4 it came again, this time we went for a drive to see how the town looked. We headed for the lookout first, we had a wonderful view of fog, so we headed out to the Dorans on the hill. We arrived there just as they were putting the finishing touches on the snowman. He was fantastic, with his organic nose and eyes. :)
This afternoon I took 114 images... thank goodness for digital! I will share more tomorrow!
Keep warm! :)

A little bit of the white stuff.

Hardly worth taking a photo really, but it may be all we get! It is cold and miserable out today, my fire is burning away...
Yesterday was a great day! Shawn and Liberty went to Grandmas to continue with the cubby building. While they were gone I got so much done, the standard things plus a few extras. I must say it felt good to get things done!
Yesterday afternoon, Shawn and Liberty danced the day away. They are so good to me, I got some lovely photos...
Well I better try and find some of the energy that I had yesterday and get some things done.
Thanks for stopping by! :)

Wonder School

Not much happened in our little home today. We all slept in, I cleaned the kitchen, did some washing, had morning tea with Grandma, Liberty napped, Shawn played PS2, both kids went to Grandmas to build cubby's, I did some running around, dinner and done! :)
Wonder Bread has a promotion running for primary schools. Each specially marked bag is worth a point, points are then redeemed for sporting gear. Our school is is desperate need for sporting equipment. Matt has been taking kids for sport and doing basketball, 20 kids and 4 balls...
I have been co-ordinating the collection of these bags and that has kept me busy for the past few weeks, making collection points for the class room, charts, covered boxes for the local supermarkets etc. I really hope we can do well from this.
We also had a few drops of rain today, hopefully tomorrow we might get lots more! night x

Grafton Weekend

We spent the weekend up in Grafton. It will probably be the last time we see the Ferris' as a Family of 3. Amanda is due to have her 2nd baby in 3 weeks.
We had a good weekend of playing in the park. Boys kicked the footy and the 2 little ladies played on the slide. It is a great park! I came away from the weekend with the Rummy Championship. I won 5 games in a row. Pretty good I thought! Roy wouldn't let anyone go to bed until I was defeated, knowing just how tired Amanda was I threw the game, and Roy won :)
Since we have been home I have done all of the washing, cooked dinner, kids are clean, one is in bed and the dog is on the other bed waiting for Shawn. Matt and Shawn are parked in front of the TV, too tired to move. I calculated, that since Wednesday, 5 days, Matt has driven approx 2400 km's. No wonder he is tired. Add a cold to that and he is spent! He will have another big week ahead of him to make up for time lost travelling and being sick.

School holdays begin...

Today is the last day of school for Shawn, then 2 weeks holiday! I like the school holidays. It is nice for Shawn and Liberty to just play together.
Yesterday I had the shock of the year when my Father called me. I can recall maybe 3 times this has happened in 10 years... But anyway....that is ok, I have learned that, that is him, my father. He was calling to let me know some bad news. My Grandmothers sister passed away, she had been ill for many years.
Well I better keep moving we are heading off to Grafton for the weekend. I hear a rumor that there is a new scrapbook shop. So I better go and confirm that! Happy weekend everyone! I would love to see some snow these holidays. These photos were taken over at Dads in America Christmas 05. I have only just scrapped them recently. x

Sneaky Peak!

This is a teeny tiny sneak peak of some of my DT work for JSJ. The paper is so yummy! DCWV. I would not have been drawn to this paper normally, but I loved working with it! Watch this space....
Miss Liberty is doing so much better. Shawn is the only one without a cold. (touch wood)
I have been so super busy with DT work, P&C and the Wonder School promotion and UEMC. I am looking forward to having a little, tiny break. I was thinking yesterday how much time I use to waste. I must say I am enjoying being 'productive'. I would like to be a little less busy, but I am enjoying it all!
Now it is time for me to go to bed and read last Sundays paper! lol

Sick....again!

Saturday night I could tell Liberty would wake up with a cold...and I was right. She spent all of last night coughing. Today she was better than I thought, until 4.15pm when she pushed on her head and screamed. The doctor saw her by 4.45 and she is now on antibiotics.... Ear infection.
I have been so very blessed. Shawn never had an ear infection and this is Liberty's first.
So between needing to do P&C stuff and getting my work together for JSJ's I have had a busy day! Tomorrow won't be any different, Wednesday should be quiet....er :)
Thought I would share this image of the happy family going for a Sunday bike ride.
Actually it is not just the one family, but 2.
Infact, that is my husband riding into the sunset with another woman!
It was the best 15mins peace I had all day!!! LOL

Tomorrow is Sunday!

...and that means it is Sunday paper time :)

Not much to share. I went to work. Came home for 15mins then went up to the footy oval to help the P&C in the canteen. Back up to Armidale. Then we went over to our neighbours for dinner. We are not long home... a late night for Miss L. We had a really lovely evening. Both kids were so well behaved... isn't that great when you are out! :) My neighbour was also my 2nd class teacher, and many other things in my life since... small world.

Matt tells me that Shawn did very well at soccer today and almost scored a goal! I am stoked!

Well my PJ's are by the fire getting warm then I am off to bed.
Thanks for stopping by. x

Blue Awning Flip Book

I am a winner!!
I found out last night that I was the overall winner of the Scrapping Jewels Cyber Crop. I was so thrilled. The K&Co Flip book is my trophy. I was so tempted to order this with my last order but the bank said better not :) It looks beautiful.
My order arrived today. I am now loaded with Doodlebug Loopy Lou. My pizza box of treats also contained my new DT kit for JSJ. It looks like alot of fun. Watch this space lol
On another super note, I found out via PM that I have won 'something' at Scrap Therapy. I don't know what or what for, but hey, I didn't want to argue LOL.
On another great note I had morning tea with the girls at Megs. Miss Liberty had a sleepless night, though she slept more than I did, so she was not in a very social mood. The 2 hour nap fixed that!

Wednesday

Wednesday... tonight is Matt's night away for work. He had room service for dinner... That's where I get jealous! :)
This morning Liberty and I did our jobs at the school and down town. Then while we were out we figured may as well go see Molly. Then home for Liberty's nap, then to Soccer, then home and the day is done. except for Criminal Minds on soon...
I thought I would just post a pic and not share any work, don't really have any too share.
This photo was taken 12 months ago out of a window at LAX. The Californian sun. I was born just over those hills somewhere... By no means is it a great photographic shot but I like to look at it and just wonder...

Subscribed again!

Well I didn't know if I would or not, but I did. I have been getting Scrapbooking Memories for 2 years almost and the subscription finished with the issue that came today. I had a quick flick and noticed that the price went up by $20 so I picked up the phone and used a code from the last issue and also got $90 worth of Kaiser goodies! Poor postie, I will be stalking him again now....lol

Today was the biggest frost so far this year. Usually that means it will be a lovely warm day.... not today. Pam and I perched near the fire this morning then I relocated to the computer room to follow the sun.

I am working tomorrow. I rarely do weekdays but I felt I would benefit from a few hours with the regular staff to keep in the loop. Liberty and her Grandma will have a lovely time!
This page is my entry for the 123 Challenge. 6 photos, doodling and a song title were the criteria.

Sunday, June 22, 2008

A lovely day.

We spent the day at Matt's parents place. His sister, Sue was visiting for the week so we went up for lunch. We sorted through years of Christmas cards, birthday, mothers and fathers day as well as the get well wishes from 25 years ago. Some cards from before Matt was born. Some were from Matt when he could just write...

Matt and the kids went off on the motorbikes. Shawn is doing very well. His confidence level is just where I like it :)
I did this LO yesterday for the 123 CC. Criteria was to use 123 in the title, buttons, felt and torn paper. These pics are from Shawns party last week. The colour is yuck...it really does look better than this :)
Well I have a mountain of washing that has been neglected this week so I plan on doing that and watching Greys...yay me!

Athletic Carnival

Today was the athletic carnival at Shawn's school. With the help of some others we packed 95 hot dog lunch orders... I don't want to see a hot dog for a looooong time :)
After I got back from school I quickly threw this LO together for the JSJ CC. I had a list of things to use and had to pick 4. I went with Scallops, White C/S, Stars and circles. Easy! I am really loving the thickers alphas the colours are perfect.
At about 4.30 I was in the mood to grocery shop so I went off and did that....via the women's clothing.... I now have my black cardie to wear to work and it is not to Nanna ish.... lol
Tomorrow after work we are having a 'team bonding' exercise and going to play Ten Pin. It has been 10 years since I have bowled. We are also having lunch there.... hot dogs....

Thursday

Not much has been happening in our home. I have been busy with the JSJ cyber crop. This is the LO I did for the stash challenge.
I am tired. Liberty has discovered she can get out of her bed and walk around at 1am...
Shawn is back at school and feeling better.
Well as I said not much to report... I am off to the school now...byeeeee x

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAM!!!

Today is Pams birthday. This is the card that I made for her.

I also made her Betty Crocker Tripple Choc Brownies but they were yuckky! (my cooking, not Betty)

Shawn has been home sick (hopefully not my brownies) He has had a high temp since Friday. I think he is on the mend now. He has worn out the PS2 though! :)

thanks for stopping by! x

Pirate Pinata

Before is above
After is to the right
This is the Jack Sparrow pinata I made for Shawn's birthday party. The Oscar was on sale at Spotlight for $5. I gave the body and extra layer or 2 of paper and glue for strength. Turned the film reel into a ships steering wheel. The jacket is a brown T-shirt from Vinnies. The wig was the most time consuming. I had the calico so I soaked it in cold tea for a few days to colour it. The hair is wool that I platted and stapled too the hat. I added some beads and then did his face and done! I thought he looked pretty good!

The day after...and before...

Today is the day after Shawn's birthday and the day before his party. I made the cakes first thing this morning and will ice them last thing tonight. I still am not 100% sure what I will make them into yet....
Tonight I have a meeting to go to so that cuts into my icing time. Pretty much everything has to be done today as tomorrow is full. Mum arrives home just after midday. I am not sure what Liberty is more excited about, seeing her Grandma or the airplane!
I did the party bags last night and only have one more thing to do on the pinata. Then it is housework..... the worst part!
After the party tomorrow it is then time for me to start prepping my challenges for the JSJ cyber crop...that starts tomorrow!! I am so not organised but I will be! :)

Pirate Cupcakes

These are the cupcakes I made for Shawn's class to celebrate his birthday today.... if anyone is interested :)

Actually the ones in this photo are the duds... Made just to use up the frosting quickly. I didn't get a very good image of the good ones, but you get the idea.

Shawn I think has had a pretty awesome birthday. Really, with cupcakes like these how could you not! LOL

Happy Birthday My Handsome Boy xxx

Random Thoughts...

This double layout is for the Scrap Therapy MBM Challenge. You had to scrap your hopes, dreams and goals. I am not good at thinking about myself or my life, let alone record my thoughts! Horror!!! Yesterday I sat for an hour and just typed. When I was done I didn't even proof read as I would have deleted or changed parts. I love the look of the LO and I think I like the wording...
Shawn is VERY excited about his birthday tomorrow. I can see the excitement crawling in him... I remember feeling that way about my birthdays as a kid. His 'girlfriend' called this morning to say she was coming to his party and what would he like for a gift.... soooo cute! Then I got thinking about how long this little romance has been going on for. Over 12 months!!! That is not bad for a boy who is turning 8 tomorrow! All so Innocent, the way it should be!
Well I have a pirate pinata to work on...thanks for dropping in! :)

My Diamond

This is a LO I did for the Cyber Crop over at Scrap Therapy. It really tested me. You had to use 2 types of bling (easy) a diamond shape (bit tricky) and the word 'diamond' (On no!). So I turned to Google and realised the words used to describe a diamond would also work with Miss L.
Also on scrappy news Julies Scrapping Jewels is up and running again! ... watch this space for a Cyber Crop date!!
Yesterday I had a sleep in, they are far and few between. 8.30 I made my way out of bed. Nice cooked breakie followed. At 10.30 Matt helped a mate put an air con unit into his roof. All 4 of us went out to look at there new home. At 11am I started drinking champagne!!! 11 AM....wow a sleep in and a drink of bubbles what a morning! Both not like me! We left there and were home just after midday. Spent some of the afternoon working on a pinata for Shawn's party and scrapping.
Just after 5 we loaded into the car, armed with the Lamb roast I had in the slow cooker all day and headed over to the Baldwin's for dinner. The baked potatoes were soooo good and crunchy. yummmm
Well Matt and Shawn have gone off to watch Indiana Jones and the ridiculously long title at the cinema. Liberty is down for her nap so I should have 90 minutes to myself! Gotta go!! :)

Invitations for a pirate!

Last night I made the invitations for Shawn's birthday party. So simple! A bit of clip art and candle make for pretty cool party invites me thinks! I think they took me an hour while I watched 'How I met your mother'. So this time in a week my mother will be arriving home, it is the school athletics carnival and I will be getting ready for a house full of kids...
Today Liberty had a return visit to the continence nurse. She is so pleased with Liberty's progress, YAY! Still a long way to go, but at least we have progress!
Well this time last year I was in Greensburg, PA going to yard sales with my Dad. Actually on this day I also had portrait photos of Shawn and Liberty taken. They were not ready before we left so Dad picked them up and WAS to send them to me........................................

Happy Birthday Pooh....

Today is Matt's Birthday. I think he had a good day! Started off with the gift opening ceremony. Matt was late getting started for work and was home in time to bring me some lunch. What a sweetie :) Tonight his parents came for dinner and that was lovely! I did one of Matt's favs Lasagna....yummmmo.
I had a busy day doing errands around town. Liberty and I went up to the preschool and she was so excited to be there. So next year on Wednesdays she can go each week! I drove my Grandmother to an appointment this afternoon, then tonight after dinner I snuck over to the schools Values Forum. It was quite interesting. So I am now rather tired and am heading off to bed.
I better explain the photo. This time last year we were at Disneyland and this is my hot pretzel. So, Matt had his last birthday in Disneyland, complete with fireworks!
Night x

Winter has arrived!

These beautiful flowers were at my door when we arrived home from Tamworth Sunday. A thank you from the Ferris family for when I watched Jess Friday. I love the sticks, for lack of a better term. :) Thanks Moo x
Today was a wet and windy winters day. Liberty and I wrapped Matt's birthday gifts ready for tomorrows tradition of gift opening in bed! All 4 of us pile in and watch the birthday person... Anyway Liberty's wrapping skills are not too bad for a 2 year old.
I sat online while she slept and listed some items on Ebay and spent my prize money (and some) at DIVAS. I also did my voting for the Scrap Therapy Make Believe Masters... Do think I have much of a chance the standard is pretty high... I will keep going though. The 2nd challenge is to scrap you hopes and dreams. I really dislike scrapping myself so it sure will be a challenge!

Ee Moo

Today we went on a road trip and came across this creature. Affectionately known as Ee Moo.

Just out of town on the way to Tamworth is a paddock that Matt always spots this Emu in. Today he happened to be right at the fence closest to the highway. Not content on taking this shot from across the road I crossed the highway, armed with a few slices of bread. He ate right out of our hands! Yes, my finger is still sore!

Just because I was so close I took a close up shot of the beautiful feathers. In his excitement to take the bread out of my hands some feathers got caught in the barbs of the fence... Shawn now wants to start a feather collection!

I will have fun playing with this images later when I have more time.

While at Tamworth we had an early birthday lunch for Matt. His birthday is on the 3rd and weekdays are busy...
We hit a few shops and much to my disappointment Spartys party shop is now in the Spotlight main shop... I am a bit slow...this may have happened months ago, it has been awhile since I have hung out in Tamworth.

Last night Amanda and Roy came for dinner. It has been awhile since we have had a catch up with them so it was lovely to do so!

Well I better go and get dinner for tonight... last thing I want to do is eat after a BIG lunch.... kids my need feeding though!
Thanks for stopping by and reading my Ee Moo ramblings :)

Marcus

I just discovered via email that I won the Scrapbook Divas sketch challenge for May with this LO of my Godson, Marcus. Woo Hoo!! I am goin shoppin! lol
Today one of my Goddaughters (I am popular as a Godmother, lol) Jess came to play. Amanda and Roy had a funeral to attend so Jess got to hang out with us.
Matt had a busy day, he started helping Ian with 'car stuff' that I don't understand. Then he spent an hour over at the school doing basketball with some of the kids. Apparently a boy asked why Matt wasn't tired yet, so Matt replied that he could run all day and not get tired..... What a silly thing to say!! Matt is now very tired :)
Shawn had a birthday party after school complete with a bonfire, true to form it started to sprinkle rain.
Well I am going to go and see what I can spend my money on at Divas, night!

Julies Scrapping Jewels

Just a quick post to let you know that ScrappingJewels is having unexpected trouble with the web server. Last night we threw together a blog so that customers can still be informed of what is going on until a more permanent site can be arranged. Julie had new stock that was ready to be listed and is expecting a HUGE order from Canada. This one I am very excited about!! ;)
The link to the blog is HERE.
It is very new so please leave us a comment so we can see who has dropped by! Thanks so much!

GO GO GO!

Today over at the school for education week we had Go Go Go! It is a day full of activities for the primary kids. As an example Shawn made Lanterns, Rocky Road (without chocolate!!!! funny story that), Gift bags, French knitting. There are lots of things the children can choose to do. I helped Rach with bookmarks. I really didn't help so much as kept Liberty and Molly entertained with paper and glue. I pinned Molly's to her mothers pin board at school but I think in my rush to get home I tossed Liberty's...
This page is my entry for Scrap Therapy's MBM comp. You had to think outside the square. It is not all that original but it was all my stuffy head could come up with! lol
Well I better keep moving. Nothing has been done in this house today and I am heading out again later... It will all still be here when I get back! lol

Speed Scrapping

This is the page I did last night during the Divas speed crop. Not my quickest page. This one took about 30 mins. Speed crops are a great way to use photos that you have in piles and want to use but aren't sure how....
These photos were from my birthday last November. I remember think I should take photos of the old shark net. I think it has since been removed! Not a very safe feeling while you are swimming and there is a broken net to keep sharks out...
Liberty is down for her nap and hopefully I will finish off the page I am working on. I also need to get some things ready for Go Go Go at the school tomorrow. Byeeee :)

Monday, May 26, 2008

Finally a page to share.

This page seemed to take hours to do... I did it Friday night at a crop. I think it was a mix of it not being my normal style, feeling miserable with this cold and too much chatting! I do like how it turned out though.
Not much else to share with the world really. Liberty and I both have a cold, Matt has hurt is thumb and Shawn has mouth ulcers! I live in the house of crappy health! Keep away!!! lol

Tonight over at DIVAS they are doing a speed challenge...I really enjoy speed scrapping...I think last time they did one I finished a full LO in 20mins and I like the result!!! :) It starts at 8pm so if you can come over and have a look!

UPDATE - While I was blog surfing I came across some major talent...Lillian
I am sure she would be thrilled if you dropped by her blog! :)

Friday

Hello! Well another week is over.
I really have not taken any interesting photos recently so I am raiding the archives again. This pic is at the UN head quarters in New York City. It was one of my favourite places to tour. We went through not long after the movie 'The Interpretor' was made so the interior was the same then as it is in the movie. Each room is decorated by different countries and changed each year. This image really does prove to me that blogger strips the colour out of pictures. This is usually a vibrant image... oh well...
Liberty had her appointment today and I was very happy with the lady we spoke to, in my books that is a plus. It is going to be a long few months to get her bowels working right but hopefully the pain will ease quickly.
This afternoon Matt had his first 'teaching gig' at Shawn's school. He is going to do basketball with some kids as the Friday sport. I don't think they have had basketball for a few years so that will be a bit of variety for them. The group was a bit large to do much with and not enough balls to go around, but he will work something out. He is pretty good my Matt...
Tomorrow night there is a crop night in town...woo hoo!! I better go and see what I can do...
Have a wonderful weekend. :)

Dust Bunnies Beware!

Today I went through a book shelf that had fewer books and more junk than it should have! It is the shelf between my scrap desk and computer so you can imagine what gets 'dumped' on it. Well it now looks like it is a bookshelf again.
I was going to do my scrap table tonight but Bones is on telly tonight... not that I am looking for an excuse...really I'm not...
So apart from the shelf I did some jobs down town and some P&C things as well. It was the P&C jobs that lead me to do the shelf. Being secretary I sure have collected some paper work!
I spoke to my Mum today and she was delayed longer in Sydney. I think the baggage handlers had a strike. So that caused her to miss a connecting flight and sent her to Frankfurt for a few hours then into Paris. Oh the joys of international travel... what a buzz!!
The photo is of Miss Combi. I have printed this in an 8x12 to scrap. It has been awhile since I have scrapped with such a big photo. Hopefully Saturday night....

YAY!

I found out yesterday that my little angel has an appointment with the new continence specialist on Friday!! That is great news for us, I really hope she can help...
Well today my Mum left for Ireland, via London and Paris. She is hoping to be able to look at my blog to check up on me :) and see pictures of her 2 grandchildren. So I may ramble for the next few weeks... Shawn and his Grandma are very close, it is really wonderful. Friday night they go out for fish and chips and then have a board game night. I think that is great...Shawn is very lucky to have her live only a block away. I guess that compensates for his Grandfather who is on the other side of the world!
So today Shawn had soccer training. Matt was home so that was good for him to make it to a training. Tomorrow is a teachers strike. Shawn was to be singing at the Armidale Eisteddfod but his group has pulled out due to sickness...bummer! So he will now get to spent the day with his Dad! Tomorrow Matt goes out 'west' on a road trip so it will be good company for both of them.
I am off to be with the new Scrapbooking Memories that came today, my electric blanket and Hugh Laurie! Night x
PS Mum...Hugh Laurie is the actor in House, don't panic! x

If you love Blog Candy check out this stash and leave a comment!
UPDATE ...and the Candy keeps on comming! Also check out this stash and leave a comment!
All that glitters is also worth a look and this Cosy blog too.... wow it amazing where blog hopping will take you... :)

Bedtime story

It has been awhile since I have scrapped and this is what I came up with! I followed a sketch from Aussie Pub Calls Roadmaps for the monthly comp. It was just the sketch I needed to get me going again...
My Grandmother has been away for about a month and tonight she arrives home. Her and Mum are having dinner with us tonight as a welcome back and a bon voyage for my mum as she is going OS on Wednesday. I have had lamb in the slow cooker since 7am and gee it smells good. It makes for a long, hungry day :)
Liberty decided not to have a nap today.... The naps seem to be dwindling...

It did snow...

It did snow...but then it rained.

About 11.30 last night I looked and there was a good cover of snow. Matt look at about 1am and said it was falling well. About 4am I heard the rain... No snow for us to play in.

This photo of Shawn was taken when he was 4 1/2 on the same trip as the photo below. I love this photo of him.

Saturday, May 17, 2008

Weather outlook.

A few days ago I heard that snow has been predicted for Sunday...Tomorrow! I love snow. I guess it feels like home in some way. I have spent a few of my school summer vacations with my Dad in Pennsylvania, USA. So even though I lost our hot summer, I was lucky to experience some amazing snow. One time my cousin Sara and I made this massive snowball in a corn field. It was almost as high as us...I think we were 7..maybe 10. I will have to hunt down those photos.
This photo was taken on my last northern winter trip in Dec 2004. Unfortunately Matt and Shawn didn't get to see alot of snow as it was a mild winter, and not even the right snow to make a snow man! That was disappointing!
Well now that I have had my little walk down memory lane I think it is time to make a long distance phone call. Sara if you read this, I love you x

Making Memories

This is my bundle of Making Memories goodies that I won from Blue Bazaar. I was stoked! It is a nice collection of things that I would not have purchased normally. If I can keep of Facebook long enough I may even use it!
My last post mentioned that Liberty was not well...today has been a good day!!
Well my little man should be home soon so I will go and wait for him on the verandah. Have a great weekend! x

My Pirates...

How cute are my lil' Captain Jacks? Well I think they are! This is the wig that I asked Rach to hunt down at Disneyland. We had a quick play this afternoon but gee I can see it bringing us a lot of laughs.... and me some scrap pages :) Thanks Rach!! x
As you can see in the pick my littlest pirate has been so unwell this afternoon. She didn't nap. She had 30 mins in bed then it was all down hill from there. She is sleeping now, poor little girl. I hope the specialist calls soon! I can not cope when my kids are in pain, sick, yes to a degree, but pain, no.
I am exhausted myself. I really need to make a birthday card to send tomorrow...

Another good weekend gone.

Hello! Hope all of you Mothers had a wonderful Mothers Day!
Shawn has soccer on Saturday while I was at work. Matt said they had a great game and played as a team! The score was 6-1. Shawn was goalie for the first half and stopped 3 goals.... I didn't ask if the 1 point was scored on his watch. I am so glad they played as a team...it will all come to them with practice.
About 4pm Shawn and I went up to the football oval to work in the canteen... and see the Dorans. I have known Rachel a very long time, without putting too much thought into it maybe 25 years. Now in America she got herself, of all things, a Victoria's Secret Hoodie.... green... the colour of my eyes!!! Jealousy is a curse!! LOL Sounds like they had a wonderful time. Up until the moment she told me about the hoodie, I was happy for her :)
Mothers day saw us off to Armidale to see Matt's Mum, then off to Wool Expo. (A huge expo about the wool industry, products etc) I treated myself to an $8 potato with butter for my lunch! I love the potato man potatoes...not worth $8.... but still.... In the afternoon we played a few games of Rummy while there was a blackout. My mum came down for dinner. After I ate I could hardly stay awake. This sore throat has really worn me down!
Well I am rambling on so I will go. The pic is for the 52 week challenge at Scrapping Jewels.
Thanks for stopping by! x

It has finally happened!

I am now a Facebook Poker addict... I have fought it off for a few weeks while the girls have talked about it... I caved last night. I have had a Facebook profile for awhile now but hardly ever logged in.... Oh well, no turning back now lol
At school today Shawn joined in for the Jump Rope For Heart skip. He completed his 3 minutes to hopefully be in the Guinness world records! How cool for the kids to be apart of that!!
I did this 8x8 page last weekend of Miss Jess. It is a pic I have used before on a 12x12.
Hope you all have a great weekend! x

COOL!

Well it is a lovely sunny day here. This morning I had the Mothers Day Stall at school and it was a great success! Thanks Pam and Courtney... I appreciate you :) Can't wait to see what Shawn purchased for me..... lol
So Liberty is in bed and should wake up any minute now. I have done nothing! Sat in the sun in my computer room. I have replied to some email and read some that I had neglected. Then I played on facebook. What a time waster that is.... I did 22 quizzes. The site must have been busy it was very slow. At least I will sleep better knowing what type of flirt I am! lol
I also had an email from
Blue Bazaar informing me that I won a $50 Making Memories pack from the weekend cyber crop they had. It was for the page below of Liberty. I am pretty chuffed about that! I also had a RAK arrive today from the Divas cc a few weekends back.
Well I really should go and do something productive....should! lol................ ;)

PS, Not sure why the rating things have appeared on the blog...must be a blogger thing!

EDIT: I just added the animated "Julie"...how nice to actually look like her! LOL

Bad day turned good!

I have been fighting a sore throat for a good few days now and today has been the worst! So after running around for the P&C then Soccer stuff I had a fantastic meeting with the Uralla Events Management Committee. We organize the Thunderbolt Festival here in our little metropolis. We had some big things happen tonight that will see the Festival moved to October 25th. I can't say much yet, but I am really excited now!!
Well I better get moving on some more P&C stuff. We have a mothers day stall tomorrow for the kiddies to get gifts for there mum's. So Shawn and I are heading off to school nice and early to set up.
Night all x

PAM, PAM, PAM!!!

If I hear the name PAM one more time tonight I may scream!!! Liberty has been (pretending) to talk to her on the phone all afternoon. First word out of her mouth when she woke up from her nap. She wouldn't go to sleep tonight...Pam, Pam, Pam!
Anyway.... Today I did a lot of computer stuff for P&C. We are having a fete in September and are looking for ideas. If anyone has some thoughts I would love to know!
I did this page late last week. I love how it turned out, the tones of it. I don't think I had inked chipboard before.... This photo was taken at Easter time on the Macleay River. Liberty woke up early so we went exploring so everyone else could stay sleeping.
Did I mention that Liberty is very lucky to have a Pam. Pam lets Liberty call her at 8pm to say goodnight. Makes my heart happy x

The weekend!

What a busy weekend! I will start at the top pic and work around. On Thursday Matt came home from work with this Pepsi bottle. He stopped for a drink at a small town in the middle of no where and this is what he found! Cute! The next pic is Casseys wedding invitation that is so elegant. Saturday was Shawns first soccer game. I took the day off work, I couldn't miss this! He did well and had lots of fun... they did loose 1-0. They played a team of girls that have been together for 2 years, this their 3rd. They played very well.
Today we went down to they park for some photo opps (hehehehe) The weather was beautiful today. I think we were at the park almost 2 hours... As we were heading back to the car we saw a duck. As we walked closer we could tell it wasn't well, then realised it had a broken wing and couldn't fly. So we caught it pretty easily in my hoodie and took him home. When we had a closer look we could see that the bone was actually through the skin. Matt called WIRES (wildlife rescue) and they directed us too the vet. Unfortunately the vet wasn't hopefully..... Shawn was upset, I was too. I know what ever happened at the vets was much better than a cat or dog finding him.... I will call tomorrow and find out what happened.
So in between all of this I scrapped. Lots was happening this weekend in the scrapping world. I will show you bits through the week. x

Hi Rach!

What a surprise I got when I read the comments from yesterday! In a million years did I not expect Rachel to look at my blog in LA... bit clever on her behalf!! :) She must have felt her ears burning. lol Morning tea was at Pams this morning. Meg asked if I knew how Rach was.... now we know!
This is an image I took almost 12 months ago when we were at Disneyland. I like this shot (it could do with a good crop) I used no tripod and just my little fuji digital. The lighting must have been just enough.
Matt and Shawn went off to basketball tonight and as always had a good time.
I received a wedding invitation in the mail today for Cassey and Andys wedding in Canberra. It is a beautiful invitation, Case made them herself. I will take a pic tomorrow and post. The 'dress code' is "elegant"..... I am hoping that means velour trackies and not fleece ones.... When i was younger and slimmer I could do elegant (just) but doubt I can now.... I see a trip to spotlight in my future! Hey Rach pick me up a frock on your shopping trips!
