Floriade

This was the first photo I took at Floriade and it is one of my favourites. (I have not edited it in any way) I had fun 'playing' with my new Nikon DSLR. We still have a long way to go :) I love close up images with depth. In my experience only an SLR will give you this every time, no problem!
Click HERE to read more on Floriade. It is an amazing flower show in Canberra. I was suprised at how many things to do there was. Shawn often commented on what a great place it was.
Today we headed off to the park to meet up with the local gang of mothers and kids. We had to go a little early as Liberty had her first appointment with the speech 'doctor'. Liberty would go to a 'doctor' every day if she could. He was good with her and gave me the feedback that I was after. Liberty is still young (19 days until she turns 3!) So we will look closer at speech therapy early next year.
Well I am going to get back to my scrapping now. I should be folding clothes, but that is not a very fun job.... night.

This was on a wall at the Raymond Terrace McD's. I couldn't help myself but go back to the car for the camera. Top image is the original, taken quickly while people looked at me oddly :) I played with it and came up with the bottom image while I had a snack. I will have some fun playing with this one! Hope you all 'enjoy' your day :)

I just had a quick look and thought I would put this together.

Cassey & Andy's beautiful wedding

Last Thursday we travelled 8 hours to Canberra for Casseys and Andys wedding. I worked with Space (Cassey) for a few years. It was during that time her and Andy started dating. They are the most beautiful couple. I could rave all day about how wonderful they are...I won't though. :)

This is the super quick card I made for them. I knew for months that the wedding was coming, but still left it to the last minute to make! It looks much better IRL, Oh well....
The wedding photo is not the best. I have only just loaded them and have not yet had a good look at them all. The computer is telling me that in the 5 days we were away I took 535 photos.
While in Canberra we went to Floriade (flower show) Questacon Museum, Parliament House and The Mint. We wanted to hit the Dinosaur Museum the day we left but in opened later than I wanted to stay. We need to hit the road. On the way home, to break the trip, we stayed a night in Newcastle to visit my Uncle. I took the kids on a ferry boat to the city.
Well I better keep moving, so far I am having a productive day.... feels good :)
Thanks for stopping by!
PS The song at you are listening to is the song Case walked down the 'red carpet' too. The wedding ceremony was at Lennox Gardens....again perfect!

Fun of the Fair.

The School Spring Fair was yesterday!
What a huge job. I am told it was a great day and everyone enjoyed themselves. It is hard to gage how an event is going when you are so caught up in it.
This photo was taken as I was running from the kitchen to the BBQ. Annette grabbed my camera from me and just took it. Matt and Liberty came by just at the right time!
Liberty had a super time!!! Until it was time for the Jumping castle to go home.
The fair had some fantastic helpers. I would like to thank Matt and my girlfriends for all of their hard work and support, I appreciate all of you very much!! x
Shawn missed the fair as he is currently in Melbourne. He went down with his Grandma on Saturday. From what I hear they are having a great time. When I spoke to Shawn tonight he had just gotten out of the hotel pool and spa... poor kid! LOL
Bed time fom me, It may take me a month to recover! :)

Bully!

Today at the school assembly, Shawn's reading group performed the play that they made up by reading the book "Amy and the bullies". They did such a great job!!
The first pic is Liberty playing at Pre-School when I had to drop some things off. The next few are Shawn receiving an award. As you can see he was already dressed for his play. The lovely Monique is in red. That is Shawn's long time girlfriend in the pink apron. We had a lovely conversation about her marrying Shawn after assembly, I must talk to Shawn when he gets home from school :)

PS. for a larger view of the photos click on them!

123

This is my page for this months 123 Challenge.

1. Spots

2. Scallops

3. Teal

The pic of Liberty is the first one that I have taken of her with my new Nikon. It is not a brilliant photo, but still cute :)

Today was a very productive day! Pam came around for '5 minutes'.... So together with Rachels help we wrapped all of the lucky dips for the School's Spring Fair this Sunday.
Pam also put together 2 outstanding posters for the highway.

She is very talented Miss Pam :)

I cut the letters out yesterday afternoon using
the cricut. It is a super machine for a job like this.

Well Shawn just rode in from school so I will go and see how his day was. Bye :)

Lovin' Paypal!

At this moment I think Pay Pal and Ebay are fantastic!
6 Weeks ago I ordered myself a new Digital SLR, Nikon! Ever since my first job in photographics I have wanted a Nikon. With 2 weddings booked I thought now was a good time.
So long story shortened so as not to bore you all... I got ripped off!!! I wanted to buy in Australia and do the right thing. So from a company in Melbourne I won the auction. After a month of excuses as to why they had not sent the camera I finally complained to Pay Pal. Friday I walked into work and got exactly what I wanted. I paid a bit more but I had it!!! Saturday morning Pay Pal had returned all of the money that I lost to the dodgy Ebay seller!!! I love it when things work as they should. I am now a huge fan of the Pay Pal system!

I have taken over 300 shots on my Nikon, Sorry Rachel and I have taken over 300 shots :)
When I make the time to download the software I will share :)

My super soccer boy had his first presentation day today. He picked up a hat, certificate and a awesome trophy! I am very proud of him, he improved so much!!

This is a photo that I took in December 2004. It is at Shanksville, Pennsylvania, USA. It is the site where a United plane crashed out of the sky, 7 years ago today.

Been awhile...

This is another LO I did at camp.
It was from the criteria for one of the 123 Cyber Crop challenges.
I quite like the simple, clean lines of this page.
Hope everyone is well... :)

Tweet Hearts

This is another page I did a camp. I have used the new Daisy Bucket papers from Scrap Therapy.
They are beautiful textured papers in yummy colours. I must say that I did find them tricky to use... I have a hard time cutting up nice papers :)
I do love this photo!
Shawn is busy working on a boat for his school project. I think this is his first big project. He is so excited about it! Nice to see him excited about school. He helped me set up the Father's Day stall at school this morning. Liberty was also a great helper. When it was Shawn's class that came, she went back with him for 10 minutes. She likes going to 'school'.

No more camp!

I am back from camp.
We were told yesterday that it would be the last camp Lisa would run... Lisa does a FANTASTIC job with her camps and she will be missed.....
I managed to pump out 10 single pages and 3 double LO's. Not too bad! The one above is one of my fav's.
It is for the 123 Challenge CC. The challenge was to use, Material (felt and thread from upholstery fabric) Circles and flourishes (flourishes are stamped with watermark ink so you don't really see them in a photo, sorry) and also bling.
I am so, so tired. I am looking forward to November when my major commitments are over!! Then I can get back to my life for awhile!

I arrived home from camp to find Matt sick with a cold. He only managed a fews hours of work today, he is now sound asleep. I also have Shawn home from school with a tummy bug that has been doing the rounds.... Did I mention I am looking forward to November....

Alvin and the Chipmunks

Song Lyrics: "Witch Doctor"Recorded by: "David Seville"Written by: David Seville (Ross Bagdasarian)Single: Released in 1958

I told the witch doctor I was in love with youI told the witch doctor I was in love with youAnd then the witch doctor, he told me what to doHe said that ....(Chorus:)Ooo eee, ooo ah ah ting tang Walla walla, bing bangOoo eee, ooo ah ah ting tangWalla walla, bing bang...Ooo eee, ooo ah ah ting tang Walla walla, bing bangOoo eee, ooo ah ah ting tang Walla walla, bing bangI told the witch doctor you didn't love me trueI told the witch doctor you didn't love me niceAnd then the witch doctor, he gave me this adviceHe said to ...(Repeat Chorus)Now, you've been keeping love from meJust like you were a miserAnd I'll admit I wasn't very smartSo I went out and found myselfA guy that's so much wiserAnd he taught me the way to win your heartMy friend the witch doctor, he taught me what to sayMy friend the witch doctor, he taught me what to doI know that you'll be mine when I say this to youOh, Baby ....(Repeat Chorus)

We were just watching the movie 'Alvin and the chipmunks' and I burst into song.

Matt had never heard this song!!

So through the magic of the www I have added it to my playlist!

Enjoy, laugh, roll your eyes at me, I don't mind... It gave us a good laugh!! :)

All gone!

Well today we finished off the last of our Flintstones vitamins!
I can remember having these as a child in America. Now I always get a bottle when we go over for the kids. Well, they are all gone now. I stretched them out for as long as I could.
Tomorrow is CAMP DAY!!! I really need to pack..... It is not a big or a hard job.... It is just other things need to be done first.
If I don't make it back to the land of blog, have a great weekend everyone! :)

If your happy and you know it...

This is a pic of Liberty from a few nights ago.
Every night as we put her to bed, all 4 of us go into her room and put her music on. The first song is "If your happy and you know it". We clap and stomp, and YAY. I am sure the neighbours wonder what the racket is all about, but we get a giggle from it. :)
Today was a total waste for me. I went to Armidale to print photos... didn't have the CD in the case.... I went to do a home order and it doesn't give the size option I need.... Looks like I get to go to town again before camp.... It all just snowballed from there.
Matt is away with work tonight, so it was a nice lazy dinner. Kitchen is all cleared and the kids are keeping busy. Sweet!
I am hoping to get some kits made tonight ready for camp. If I can at least have the paper and photo together it saves me time. That is my biggest struggle matching the paper to the pic. 3 more sleeps until camp, I hope my mojo is already down there and waiting for me...

Super Sunny Sunday!

We had a wonderful day out!

It started with breakfast at McDonald's. Shawn used the coupon that he received with his soccer certificate yesterday!! Hotcakes and OJ.

At 10am we had to be at the soccer fields ready for the Kick a goal for cancer fundraiser day. Shawn had a coaching clinic straight up and then various other things he got to have fun doing!

The Uralla boys escorted the refs onto the field for their game... I didn't understand the purpose of this when I was first told... A common chant yelled at refs is ' Are you blind?' So that's why the kids escorted them... they couldn't see to walk...anyway.....

The kids also got to make a players tunnel for the big match featuring our MP, Richard Torbay.

I hope it was a successful day for the oncology unit. It was a great day out for us!

We arrived home about 3 and then delivered 528 cans of soft drink to the footy field ready for the P&C to run the canteen this weekend. 528 cans is about 200 Litres. If these all sell we should make $887 profit! Thanks Woolies for having a sale :)

Well this room is a bit chilly so I am going to leave for warmer spaces.... night x

Friday, August 22, 2008

I am sleepy...

I could just crawl into bed and sleep for a week. (Yes Moo, I don't think you realise just how tired I am lol)
I have had so much P&C stuff on, it just races around my head. I knocked a few things off my list today and it feels good!

This time next week is Scrap Camp!!!
I am not prepared at all!
I wanted to print my photos tomorrow at work, but I can hardly sit to type now, so I will make a trip next week.

We are getting some yummy rain here at the moment.

Hope everyone is well x

I owe I owe so off to work I go!

I had the call this morning to see if I could go into work today as someone was sick. Wow, were we busy! I only left the printer a few times to serve. It has been a looong time since I have printed so many films... It felt good :)

I am going in again tomorrow for a few hours. Liberty will get to spend time with her Nanna and Pop.

This is the LO I did for the 123 Challenge. The criteria was to do a self portrait.... yuck! So I drew me, or a version of me :) I took my inspiration for her from the Bella stamps. She is pretty cute!

Well I better go and get myself organised for tomorrow. It will be all hands on deck in the morning. Love it when the teachers have a 'stop work meeting' :)

Sunday, August 17, 2008

123 done! (almost)

Well I have almost finished my page for this months 123 challenge. I feel bad that it wasn't done sooner... Between baby waiting and being sick I am behind in everything...

So I did manage to find the energy to start scrapping today... it felt gooood. It just needs a border and I think it is done. Unfortunately the border needs to be machine stitched and that involves me using the little energy I have let to get the machine out. So I am putting it off until I come up with another idea! :)

Tomorrow is haircut day for Shawn and I. This is a photo of him taken up in Grafton. He likes his hair a bit long, but I can tell it annoys him at times. Tomorrow night is also 123 Challenge Cyber Crop I loved the last one and will be there with bells on tomorrow night... health permitting :(

Drop back tomorrow and I will have a LO to share :)

Cheers x

Happy Birthday Madge!

Today Madonna is 50. I have never been a big Madonna fan... I am sure that I haven't hurt her feelings by saying that. lol

I don't own any of her music, vinyl, tape or CD. I don't dislike her. I just don't like her stuff enough to own it.

Also today is the anniversary of Elvis Presley's death back in 77. I always seem to remember that for some reason...

Well I am heading back to bed. These antibiotics are not working as quickly as I had hoped. Just to let you know how sick I actually am. I missed a scrap night with the girls!!!

night x

Lucas & Jessica

I was in the right place at the right time to capture a great series of images of these 2 new siblings. I am looking forward to scrapping them... at camp!!!
Today I went off to the doctor and I am now on antibiotics for the chest infection that I knew I had... So I am happy with that and hope I am doing better tomorrow, ready for work.
I was a very lucky girl and Carl (postie) delivered 2 pizza boxes to my front door at 9am this morning... I sat propped up in bed playing with my 20 new sets of Doodlebug alpha stickers....bliss! LOL
I am also waiting on another special delivery from Carl... I have been waiting for 15 days now!!!! I want to tell you... but I don't... I will keep this suprise all to me! :)
Tonight over at Charmanes blog she is having a blog party.... A what? Yes I had never heard of a blog party either! So go have a look see HERE.
Also mark in your diary that the 123 CC is on this Monday August 18th at 7.30pm... I am looking forward to it!
Night all x

Lucas John Ferris was born 2 years, 2 hours and 30minutes after his sister!
both of them will celebrate birthdaays on August 12th.
Mother is doing brilliantly well. I am not getting to close to either of them with this 'lovely' cold I have.

I am heading home tomorrow so I will post a pic!

My Soccer Superstar!

Well I am home from Grafton.... still no baby news to share!
This morning Shawn had soccer in Armidale. He has come a long way with his game since his first ever soccer game a few months ago. I am very proud of him!
We arrived home from Grafton yesterday after being delayed 45minutes on the mountain from a truck breakdown... I was in bed pretty early, I could feel myself going down, and today I have a fantastic head cold. Super!!!
Our plan at this stage is head back up to Grafton on Monday about lunch time. Amanda is set to be induced in the morning. If things move slowly at least I can be with Jess overnight while Roy & Amanda are at the hospital.
So there is a quick update!
Thanks for stopping by.

Thursday, August 7, 2008

still waiting...

Still no baby...
I am now in Grafton with Amanda.

Hopefully next time I post I will hve super baby news!

Monday, August 4, 2008

She's Late!

Amanda was 'due' to have her precious bub last Friday... As of 43 minutes ago Moo was eating her dinner at home...
After I finish this post i am going to go and get some clothes sorted and get ready to pack. First I need to attack Mount Laundry Pile...
That is Ok Criminal Minds is on so I will watch and iron, multi-tasking at it's trickiest! lol
This is a LO of Shawn's Soccer boots the day he wore them home from the store. I plan on taking another photo when the season is over in a few weeks. I have this weekend off so I can see another of his games, it will be the last chance I will have to see one this year.
Alright enough stalling... I am off to tackle Mt Laundry... night!

Friday, August 1, 2008

sorry...

Wow, I haven't posted since Monday!! That has to be a record for me!
Things are just so crazy busy at our place. Nothing exciting happening just everyday stuff, more than normal :)
It has also been so cold and the computer room is at the far end of the house away from the fire!!!
Now for some Scrapbooking housekeeping.
The 123 Challenge for August has been set....
1. Lot of Bling
2. SELF PORTRAIT ....(yikes)
3. lots of colour... more than 5
This weekend over at Scrap Therapy (love that name!) is the monthly Cyber Crop. I am hoping it will help restore my mojo...
Today is the first of August and that means Amanda is due to have her baby arrive today... She has been unwell with all of the colds and coughs going around. A few more days would be great for her...

Monday, July 28, 2008

I have been so busy lately.
Possibly more running around than actual progress...
Today I was able to cross some things off my long list...and it feels good! :)

A Pepsi Can!

This is what was in my suprise tin from Miss Courtney, a can of Pepsi!! How cool is that! I always keep Pam's fridge stocked with Pepsi... saves me taking my own!
Yesterday and today I worked. I did an 11 hour day yesterday. It has been a looong time since I have done a days 'paid employment'.
Tonight I am heading around to Pam's to scrap with the girls. So looking forward to it... so I better go and get dinner done! Byeeee

Dance Party at my place!

Shawn, Liberty and myself just had a rockin good time dancing to the tunes on the radio. Very rarely does the radio play a few good songs in a row. Now I am having a rest :)
This is another LO that I did with my JSJ DT Kit. These pics were of Liberty on her first birthday. So, so cute!
Today was so cold. winter for sure!
This morning Miss Molly came to see 'Bitty'. Then Liberty and I went out for awhile. This afternoon I went over to the school to collect the Wonder Bread bags. We now have a total of 65....we need 1111 to get a sports pack.............. I may have been a bit ambitious. Hopefully we will get at least 1 pack.
After school the kids and I went out to have birthday cake with the beautiful Miss Indi. 6. I can still see her as a little baby on my couch.
Now I have to come up with a page for the JSJ CC that starts tomorrow night.

Tuesday, July 22, 2008

Straight to the pool room!

How cool am I... that is not a question...no need to answer... lol
The very talented Relsi surprised me with this award.
To pay it forward I am to tag 7 other blogs that I find to be outstanding... I won't be able to come up with 7 now, and I am pretty sure Tim Holtz and Elsie Flannagan don't need this award! lol
1. Has to be Miss Meg, who inspired me to start this blogging journey. (you would think I had just been awarded an Oscar! lol)
2. With out a doubt has to be Kristy, who has become a wonderful blogging friend :)
I am going to stop at 2... I look at so many great blogs, most have already been tagged in some form. I don't really know where to go from here.
Thanks Relsi :)

Monday, July 21, 2008

Thank you!

Look what I had delivered to me today. The lovely Miss Courtney made this for me as a thank you for looking after her dog while she was away. She has done a fantastic job! She rode her bike across the highway to deliver it... I was pretty chuffed! :) I won't tell you just yet what was inside of the tin, I will see if anyone can guess. Let me just say, she knows me well!
So Courtney stayed for most of the morning and the kids played shops. Liberty loves playing shops!
I had a full afternoon of P&C stuff, so I achieved nothing... I love the P&C. I enjoying coming up with ideas to raise money and help the kids and school... I don't like the 'formal' side of things...anyway!
Well I am now off to make a card... bye x

Celebrate the Creative Team Comp

Over at 123 Challenge they are having a new competition to introduce the Creative Team.
It involves no scrapping!!
So if you are keen to win a $25 Voucher to spend on Scrapbooking goodies head on over and enter.

Also keep in mind that the next Julie's Scrapping Jewels Cyber Crop is on the last weekend in July... Next Weekend!!!

Cheaper than therapy!

This is my last entry for the SBM @ Scrap Therapy. The challenge was to scrap about why, how etc you scrap. I had forgotten this was due today, about 2 am I remembered. Thank you Liberty for napping so I could get it done! Any of the photos I post should come up larger if you click on them :)
Matt and Shawn went and got a load of wood today that we were desperate for.
Yesterday I worked and then headed up to the football to help out in the canteen. It was good this week both Rach and Meg were in there so it made for a very entertaining afternoon. :)
I think I will now head over to the school and even out the softfall that was delivered. It has been quite a nice day. Liberty and I did some gardening this morning, lots more needs doing.
Hope you are all having a great weekend! x

123 Creative Team

Today I officially became apart of the 123 Challenge Creative Team!

It means a few things... but mostly it means I will have to up my game and put together some pretty fantastic lay outs for the monthly challenges now... The only major down side I have come across, is that my picture is on the site, no one needs to see that!

I discovered the 123 site in August 07 and think I have only missed 4 months since. I enjoy the challenge and being part of the creative team should be fun! Thanks Charmane :)
Yesterdays post shows the LO I did for this month. The page posted here is the first page I did for the 123 challenge.
On the home front, Matt was away last night and is home now. This morning I took Shawn up to Armidale to Kidzworld so he could have a good run around and I could have a catch up with the girls. Liberty stayed with Grandma. She is just the wrong age to be at Kidzworld, to old for the baby area and not big enough to play on the big stuff.
This afternoon some of my family members went to my Great Aunts house for a cuppa. She has been in hospital with a broken leg for almost 8 weeks and came home for the afternoon. I think she was very happy! After that I thought I would take Liberty around to see her Pam. It had been 2 weeks!! Great idea that was, Liberty fell hitting her head and the bridge of her nose... not pretty...
Anyway this is a long post... thanks for stopping, bye :)

Wednesday, July 16, 2008

This is my latest page, my entry for the July 123 Challenge. The criteria was to use string as a border, stamping and the colours Pink, orange, red and green.
This morning Shawn went out to his mate Nash's for a few hours. Liberty and I had a few things to do around town and when we got back the new softfall had been delivered to the school playground. So I made the few phone calls that I had to and hopefully the bobcat can come in tomorrow and work it's magic so the kids can have full use on the first day back!
Shawn and Liberty are sleeping in the same room together tonight... The trundle bed Shawn's friend slept on was still up... I hope I don't regret this!! :)

Free to good home.

2 children. 1 male aged 8 and 1 female aged 2 going on 22. These children are in great working order (sort of). They can talk very well and have a great knowledge of all things Star Wars or Pirates. They are currently clean, but I can not guarantee for how long. They can walk perfectly well except when it comes to getting a drink or finding something that they have lost. The girl has a hunger for knowledge and constantly asks 'What is that' even when she knows the answer, no, this is not annoying at all!!!
Anyway.... You get the general flow of my day...
This is a LO I did as part of my Scrapping Jewels DT kit. The papers are DCWV and they were so lovely to work with. Not what I would normally purchase online, but in real life they are yummy and glittery! Everything on that page came in the kit except the alphas. The kit is called Bright & Beautiful, yes named after myself.... lol From it I created 3 single LO's and 3 cards. I think I could even get another card or two from the scraps! All of that for $16.95.
Well I better go and get myself another strong drink... Pepsi, on the rocks!
Hope your day is going smoothly!
Welcome home Pam!

Half way...

It is now the middle of the school holidays. Shawn has a friend sleeping over tonight, Turner. They have just finished on the PS2 and are now in bed... I hear giggles...
This photo of my beautiful children was taken a few days ago, they were dancing.
Matt went and played golf today, first time in awhile. I love it when he plays with Garth, they have a great time and are not gone all day! :)
I have almost finished a new LO, so hopefully I can share tomorrow.

My new fav.

This is my new favourite photo. I had it printed and it has so much depth in it. The snow falling was perfect. The colours are great, with Liberty highlighted. Hummm, how to scrap it so I don't take away from it... I wanted to scrap it tonight but just didn't have the creativity in me!
Long day, I am off to bed.

My New Calendar Base

This is my latest creation for the Scrap Therapy MBM comp. Criteria was to make a calendar for next year. I decided to make a base from a canvas, 18x18, and decorate that to hold a normal everyday calendar, one that you could pick up for free anywhere. It was had to get a good photo of, being black. It will look great in my scrap room, me thinks! :)
This morning I spent a few hours swapping emails with my Dad, it makes the world a little smaller. He lives on the east side of America. I then sorted through some boxes of stuff that I had piled up in the laundry. While I was doing that I thought I would go and meet up with Mum for lunch, Chinese..... After a look around and a stop in at my work to get some snow photos printed, I headed home. Home is where I found my beautiful Miss Liberty with very red, yucky eyes.... can I not have a healthy day in this house? The local doctor must have left early as they were not answering the phone, so I raced to the chemist and have the best that they can give for conjunctivitis without a script. Hope it works!! She must be so blocked up from this cold, poor little girl. She takes her medicines so well... much better than her brother...
I have an early start for work tomorrow so I am off to bed! night

My Daddy!

My Dad has internet at home now!! That, to me is super exciting! I am sure he will love to see his photo up! :)
I love you Dad xxx

Thursday, July 10, 2008

Rest of yesterdays photos.

These are the last of the snow pics from yesterday. Shawn being towed through the snow, is in the house block next to us. The others are at the Doran's, and yes Rach... not possible to get a photo of you with your mouth shut! :) But I will keep trying...
This morning I could not get warm... the sun is out now so hopefully the house will warm up a little before it is time to shut the curtains, before the heat gets out.
Shawn has gone to KidsWorld (indoor play place) with a friend so that is great for him, he will have a ball! Liberty decided that she wouldn't nap today, her Grandma heard about this so has taken her for an hour to play. Lucky kids!
Well I better make the most of my time....byeeee....

It got better...much better!

It snowed and sleeted on and off all day. About 2pm the snow came down thick and settled. It snowed like this for maybe 30 mins then the sun came out and it was gone. At about 4 it came again, this time we went for a drive to see how the town looked. We headed for the lookout first, we had a wonderful view of fog, so we headed out to the Dorans on the hill. We arrived there just as they were putting the finishing touches on the snowman. He was fantastic, with his organic nose and eyes. :)
This afternoon I took 114 images... thank goodness for digital! I will share more tomorrow!
Keep warm! :)

A little bit of the white stuff.

Hardly worth taking a photo really, but it may be all we get! It is cold and miserable out today, my fire is burning away...
Yesterday was a great day! Shawn and Liberty went to Grandmas to continue with the cubby building. While they were gone I got so much done, the standard things plus a few extras. I must say it felt good to get things done!
Yesterday afternoon, Shawn and Liberty danced the day away. They are so good to me, I got some lovely photos...
Well I better try and find some of the energy that I had yesterday and get some things done.

Wonder School

Not much happened in our little home today. We all slept in, I cleaned the kitchen, did some washing, had morning tea with Grandma, Liberty napped, Shawn played PS2, both kids went to Grandmas to build cubby's, I did some running around, dinner and done! :)
Wonder Bread has a promotion running for primary schools. Each specially marked bag is worth a point, points are then redeemed for sporting gear. Our school is is desperate need for sporting equipment. Matt has been taking kids for sport and doing basketball, 20 kids and 4 balls...
I have been co-ordinating the collection of these bags and that has kept me busy for the past few weeks, making collection points for the class room, charts, covered boxes for the local supermarkets etc. I really hope we can do well from this.
We also had a few drops of rain today, hopefully tomorrow we might get lots more! night x

Grafton Weekend

We spent the weekend up in Grafton. It will probably be the last time we see the Ferris' as a Family of 3. Amanda is due to have her 2nd baby in 3 weeks.
We had a good weekend of playing in the park. Boys kicked the footy and the 2 little ladies played on the slide. It is a great park! I came away from the weekend with the Rummy Championship. I won 5 games in a row. Pretty good I thought! Roy wouldn't let anyone go to bed until I was defeated, knowing just how tired Amanda was I threw the game, and Roy won :)
Since we have been home I have done all of the washing, cooked dinner, kids are clean, one is in bed and the dog is on the other bed waiting for Shawn. Matt and Shawn are parked in front of the TV, too tired to move. I calculated, that since Wednesday, 5 days, Matt has driven approx 2400 km's. No wonder he is tired. Add a cold to that and he is spent! He will have another big week ahead of him to make up for time lost travelling and being sick.

School holdays begin...

Today is the last day of school for Shawn, then 2 weeks holiday! I like the school holidays. It is nice for Shawn and Liberty to just play together.
Yesterday I had the shock of the year when my Father called me. I can recall maybe 3 times this has happened in 10 years... But anyway....that is ok, I have learned that, that is him, my father. He was calling to let me know some bad news. My Grandmothers sister passed away, she had been ill for many years.
Well I better keep moving we are heading off to Grafton for the weekend. I hear a rumor that there is a new scrapbook shop. So I better go and confirm that! Happy weekend everyone! I would love to see some snow these holidays. These photos were taken over at Dads in America Christmas 05. I have only just scrapped them recently. x

Sneaky Peak!

This is a teeny tiny sneak peak of some of my DT work for JSJ. The paper is so yummy! DCWV. I would not have been drawn to this paper normally, but I loved working with it! Watch this space....
Miss Liberty is doing so much better. Shawn is the only one without a cold. (touch wood)
I have been so super busy with DT work, P&C and the Wonder School promotion and UEMC. I am looking forward to having a little, tiny break. I was thinking yesterday how much time I use to waste. I must say I am enjoying being 'productive'. I would like to be a little less busy, but I am enjoying it all!
Now it is time for me to go to bed and read last Sundays paper! lol
