Half way

I thought it has been awhile since I have posted a photo of my children. This is Shawn last weekend. He suprised me by jumping off this rock. He is growing up!!!
If you are a stamper/scrapper check out THIS site. I love the light meter stamp, so many uses...
This morning I went to work and stayed for my first 'end of month'. I arrived home just as Matt and his Dad finished concreting the sleepers for the retaining wall. I have wonderful timing :)
Then I had a special photo that I did at TAFE to show Pam, so I took that around to show her and ended up staying for dinner... I am not sure if I ate to much or my T-shirt got shorter.... Thanks Baldwins :)
Now I am off to bed. I have so much to do tomorrow... night x

Friday already?

Hello!
I can't believe it is Sky Watch Friday already! This week went quickly...
I took this photo over at Sawtel last weekend. This was about 5pm. I am standing in the same spot I took the photo of Bec diving off the rock below.
I had my 3rd Photoshop class last night. It is moving pretty slowly, but I am enjoying it. It feels good to be creative and learn at the same time. Also going to a 'class' gives me 3 solid hours to concentrate without having to stop and tend to my children...
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Go Anna

We saw this beautiful creature at the Dorrigo waterfall. This Goanna was an average size, maybe a meter long, with a beautiful blue head. He was climbing up the ledge ready to see if anyone had missed the garbage bin with his lunch. So we did the wrong thing and fed him snacks we had in the car. He came pretty close.
Miss Liberty is at Preschool today. I have done my jobs (even went for a walk to do some of them!) and now plan to scrap until I have to pick her up. I better get busy :)

Sawtel

Last weekend we went to Sawtel for an engagement party. I had a great time, as always with my camera. It came with me out into the water to get some shots of everyone diving off the perfect rock! This is Matt's neice, Bec. I love this shot of her.

Nothing very exciting to report really, I am busy being domestic.

I am also keeping busy by organising our trip to America in May.... very exciting stuff for us! It all happened last week, very quickly. We will fly into NYC and have 4 nights. Then we will dive across Pennsylvania to spend 2 weeks with my Dad and family near Pittsburgh. I wasted a good bit of time looking into car rentals today, nothing really worked so I will but it on the back burner for a few days.
It should be lovely weather. Both Matt and Shawn will have birthdays there... again :)

Well Shawn will be home in a few minutes from School so I will go and get a snack ready for him.

SWF

The sky was very colourful last night. After the week of rain, then the heat switching back on yesterday. This pic doesn't show the yellows then pinks the sky turned. I was busy editing some photos and didn't have the time to keep running out to take snaps. I did get to see it all out of my window while I worked! Sky Watch Friday

Hump Day!

Today is the middle of another week... I don't know where the days go!
This is my page for February Roadmaps. It was quite a fun sketch to follow. We have been getting some fantastic rain this week. Most areas down river have flooded. We are meant to be going to the Sawtel for an engagement party so hopefully the roads will open again. I have to work Saturday morning and will miss the main party, but I will drive myself down after work and meet up with Matt and the kids.
Well it has been a big day so I am off to bed! Night x

February 123 challenge

This is my attempt at the 123 Challenge with the February criteria of.... Nature, no hearts and not using a square or circle base. I guess it is circular...but with a bit of a twist :)
It has glimmer mist and kindy glitz all over it, but the photo makes it look dull.... oh well!

Friday....

This is the beautiful Fish Hawk that lives down near Green Oak. This time he actually circled the house for quite sometime. I have never spotted him so far from the river. As you can see the weather was perfect! For other sky's around the world visit Sky Watch Friday.

The weather now is completely opposite to what we had last weekend. I am all rugged up in my woolies. It is wet and windy outside... today was to be the school swimming carnival.
It has been a big week. Shawn started Guitar lessons and is loving them, my little Keith Urban :)
Liberty had her 3rd time at Preschool and had another fun day. P&C has kept me busy, but I am taking the weekend off and will start on it again Monday.
last night was my first time at TAFE doing my Photoshop course... I love it!!! Who would have thought Photoshop is not so scary!!! :) I have a few pics in mind that I would like to find time to play with over the weekend.
Well time to put Miss L down for her nap...bye

Heaven on Earth

This is Green Oak. We had a wonderful weekend away and the weather was so good to us! Alot of time spent in the river, time well wasted. The water was perfect, I don't handle cold water and will only get in if it is perfect. Yesterday we spent around 2 hours just floating.
We had 4 families, 8 adults and 11 children. The kids did so well, no fights, no TV watching... plenty of motorbike riding and fresh air. Thanks to my friends for a very enjoyable weekend.
While we were away the Uralla show was on. Shawn entered some lego creations and won first prize and show Champion. I am very proud of him, he loooves his lego!

This will be my view tomorrow.

Tomorrow I will be sitting in the evening air looking out over this view... It will be difficult, but I will cope :) I hope I will cope, I imagine the temp will be close to 40 degrees c.
I missed Sky Watch Friday last week, I didn't even have time to leave comments on other sites which I love to do.

Fresh vegies

Finally I am getting some results with my garden. Last night we had beans and spinach. The herbs have been great for a few weeks. Plenty of tomatoes but still green.
Liberty had her second week of preschool today, she loved it! I am so proud of her.

Superbowl XLIII

Today was the Superbowl and the super Steelers won! Matt and I always watch it together, ever since the first one we watched together when we had only been seeing each other for a few months. Matt really got into this game, I must admit the last few minutes was nail biting stuff. I think the Superbowl is the one event that I can watch in Australia and know what my family in America is doing, I can picture them in my Grandmothers lounge room, Aunt Linda in her Steelers gear armed with snacks. I love that 'familiar' feeling.
Well the past few days have been huge, busy days. I am so tired. Today the P&C catered for a Ram sale. I spent a good part of Sunday baking. My mother and Grandmother helped with most of it, Thankyou!
Yesterday I did get to spend just a little time playing with a friends new Canon 5D MarkII camera. When I get the images I will share some lovely ones I took of Miss L.
Well I need to get some things done for tomorrow. Hopefully I won't miss so many days blogging. I missed Sky watch Friday... that's how busy I have been!

First day at Pre-School

This is Miss L, all ready to go! She also had a great day. I think she stayed pretty close to her Grandma, she is a teacher at the Pre-School. Matt made sure he was home so we could both pick her up and see how her day went. She spotted us and ran straight over to me and wrapped her arms around my neck, her smile was so wide and she told me she missed me..... I cried.

Back to school

Shawn had his first day of Year 3 today.... He loved it! He has " the best teacher in the school " according to him. Aunty Sue would be "the best teacher in the world".

Aussie, Aussie, Aussie

Today is Australia Day. We started the festivities with prime seating for the local parade. Then we met up with the Baldwin family for lunch in the park. I could have sat there all day, nice to kick back and not think about the washing pile up or entertaining the kids... Then we drove out to Saumarez Homestead a national trust property. It had been many, many years since I had been out. We had a great time looking through the old home and playing in the gardens. All of the kids did so well. We had to put special 'booties' over our shoes and not touch a thing! No photos allowed inside.
I still managed to take 173 photos today, I didn't know what ones to post so I went with the very last one. Matt and Shawn are camping out tonight in the backyard. Matt had wanted to do it all holidays but time (and weather) was not really on our side. It also reminded me that I need to buy a new torch...opps! Shawn's smile is so wide, that will light the tent. They have been playing cards but I think have turned the light off now.

Some scrapping to share.

It has been awhile since I have shared some scrapping. This page is for a sketch challenge over at Scrapbooking Top 50.
Well I have had a wonderfully busy few days. For our anniversary we wentto the movies and saw Twilight. There were pretty slim pickings, but I am so glad I got to see this movie on the big screen. The cinamatography was sensational! Then we went out for dinner followed by a drive.
Yesterday was a big day, but so fantastic. A friend from high school got married and I was the photographer. The day went so smoothly, the bridal party was so super to work with. Might have helped that I knew some of them. It was just the best day and night. So many friends from school, some I had not seen in over 10 years. I realised that I was so lucky to have such a great group of friends in high school and how I am pleased we can see each other every few years and it was only like yesterday we chatted! Now I am rambling.... sorry...
Well I have some photos to sort through and the Sunday paper to read. Night x

A big day!

I thought this photo would be appropriate for this weeks Sky Watch Friday, since Monday is Australia Day. I took this while we were at Green Oak after Christmas. This Mountain has been affectionately named Australia Mountain by Matt's family for years. The top looks like the map of Australia, in this shot some cloud is in the way. Actually this is also the view you see from the outhouse :)
Today Matt and I have been married for 10 years... We plan on going to a movie then out for dinner. Thanks Grandma for having your Grandchildren :)

not much to share....

I am going through the archives and am posting another photo from over Christmas. I still have not edited my scrapping images to share, sorry!
Not much is new in our little home. Matt has been busy with work after the few weeks off and now being a short month. I don't work this Saturday morning, instead I am doing some wedding photography... should be good fun!
I have been on the hunt for good pants, it is not an easy task! I want good pockets and good movement... just like jeans! Oh well!
I am now going to attempt to scrap, if I don't fall asleep.... :)
later that night.... Well my eyes and hands can't seem to co-ordinate so I am now surfing the net. I found some really yummy blog cand HERE. Now I think I may go and play some Facebook poker... a bit of a no brainer, just what I need.

Happy birthday Grandma!

Hello! Well I am still complety in love with my laptop. It has a card reader built in. I downloaded photos today for the first time. So simple!

This is another shot from Sydney. Taken from the top of Sydney Tower. Liberty loved it, nose pressed against the glass.

This weekend has been nice and quiet. A bit of housework and a bit of scrapping. Good balance!

Amanda is coming for dinner tonight. Roast in the slow cooker, so easy. I will go and make the gravy now and just wait for her to show up..... I have spent many, many hours over the last 18 years waiting for her. For some reason I still wait, now that says something about our friendship!

Hope you have had a great weekend! x

Sky Watch Friday

Happy Sky Watch Friday!
These are some stock photos I took over Christmas at Green Oak. The top one I had a lovely time just 'playing' with the camera. I set the tripod up out in the paddock and tried different settings. I have not really made time to look at them all since I have been home, I just randomly picked this one! The bottom image I really like. It is the outside light mounted from the shed. As I finished playing I turned to go back to the house just as the generator was turned on.
The sky was so pink and navy blue, very stunning.
Today is another hot day, so far we have a breeze that is wonderful! Yesterday afternoon the kids and I went to the pool. You know it is very, very hot when I actually get it!
Please if you have some spare time have a look at some other SWF images.
